Israel has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra (Bach’s St. Matthew Passion), Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra (Bach’s St. John Passion) Academy Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater), Amsterdam Sinfonietta and the Royal Flemish Philharmonic.

In 2005 he was the musical director of the dance production Ballo Cantabile in which modern dance and baroque music were combined. This led to further participation in dance performances with the Royal Ballet of Flanders and the modern dance company Leine & Roebana.
